If you don't already know the answer to the question (or are just curious) you can take the following test.
Answer the questions either yes or no. Remember your answers!

1.

Do you ever go back to your flat to check if you have really turned off the iron, the stove or all the lights?

2.

Do you check your mirrors every time you drive?

3.

Do you check your pockets to see if your wallet and keys are still there?

What features should a good baby monitor have?

For the sake of your baby's health as well as your own, the device should be low in radiation and, for a restful sleep on your side, should not emit any disturbing noises, but only the noises that your baby makes. An integrated VOX function (sometimes also called intelligent sound activation) is therefore mandatory. This means the baby monitor only connects when your baby makes a sound. Otherwise, the device automatically switches to sleep mode letting you get the sleep you need.

In addition, the baby unit should be able to be switched manually to ECO mode. This significantly reduces the radiation produced by the unit as soon as it is in sleep mode. Both features also ensure lower energy consumption.

In today's world, your privacy is important to us, which is why we believe a good baby monitor should be bug-proof. This is best achieved using FHSS (for a classic baby monitor) or IP technology (for a smart baby monitor) in an encrypted network.

Which additional features are recommendable?

We find an intercom function convenient. This allows you to calm your baby while on the way to the nursery. The familiar sound of your voice alone can calm your baby and provide sufficient security - so much so that sometimes you don't even have to leave your bed.

Some children have problems falling asleep in complete darkness so a night light can help. Some baby monitors have an integrated night light providing soft light which aids many children fall asleep by giving them a feeling of security. This way, your little one doesn't need to be afraid of the dark and won't be disturbed while sleeping. So if you don't have an extra night light, look for a baby monitor with a night light.

A built-in music box is also great. Babies find it easier to fall asleep with soothing, gentle melodies. A music box in the baby monitor should have different lullabies and nature sounds that reliably accompany your baby into the land of dreams.

Especially for inexperienced parents, it can often be a challenge to find the right room temperature for the baby to fall asleep. A temperature controller can help you avoid temperature fluctuations so you can maintain a constantly comfortable room temperature for your baby. The built-in temperature sensor in a baby monitor automatically measures the room temperature. Such devices usually even send an alarm to your baby monitor unit.

As you can see, there is nothing left to be desired when choosing the right baby monitor.

Well, which one will you choose?
